History

Jonathan Gloag Centre for Early Childhood was started in 2005, a brain child of the management after seeing the need of training teachers in the society to impart knowledge, skills,values and attitude to the kenyan child who is the future citizen.


The college offers a two (2) year in service course leading to a diploma and certificate from Kenya National Examiniation Council (KNEC). the centre also prepares candidates for proficiency courses which lead to proficiency certificate(this takes one year)

This centre is identified with its uniqueness in the following ways

  • Highly trained and qualified teachers with adequate experience of preparing our students for KNEC Exams and job market
  • Great support from the expertized management of Jonathan Gloag fraternity
  • Excellent performance by our students/trainees during the KNEC Exams
  • Training of computer and Jolly Phonics which is an added advantage as you join the job market
  • Producing a holistic teacher who can handle all the systems of education provided within our country and international systems of Education

How to Join

Applications are open to candidates with a Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent as follows:



Certificate course

The minimum requirements are as follows

  • EACE Division III or above
  • KCSE D+ and above

Diploma course

The minimum requirements are as follows

  • ECDE KNEC Certificate
  • KCSE C and above
  • KHA Certificate
  • P1 Certificate from a recognised college
